I second this, although I still think ProgSoc's priority should be to get
the initial, well-planned equipment bought in the first place. The reason I
support the above is because whilst SoCS has other network connections &
modems in place, it doesn't have any SLIP/PPP connections anywhere to my
knowledge. Because this is an emerging technology, especially in the
corporate environment where many students will be working, such a
connection would enable many students access to this technology at SoCS to
experiment with it - perhaps later to become Communication's Analysts?
