It definitely wasn't an exe or anything . . . It was used a lot
several years ago in place of scripting on the <gasp> amdahl (what the amdahl
_couldn't_ do was absolutely amazing) if my memory serves me correctly. This
indicates that it may have been a feature of telnet (back when there were
decent telnet's around) - if this is so, pc-nfs telnet may have a similar
feature. It was quite useful in it's time for capturing session stuff
directly to disk from Unix . . . But then again, that doesn't help for
capturing general DOS stuff.
