Really stipid question no 8412:

G'Day!

Now for the next stupid question.

Is there any way in vi that I can make the lines wrap-around at the end of a word? (ie not like it did just then:-)

I had a quick look in TFM but couldn't see anything.

While we're on the subject of stupid questions, can anyone out there recommend
a good book to answer all these stupid questions? Things I don't understand
are:

C-shell stuff (enviroment variables etc)
Mail stuff (tin, pine, and how it generally works)
File permissions, multi user stuff
How unix actually works (demons and daemons, kernel...)

Actually this list could go on forever!

The problem is this point on my head is rather flat at the moment and try as
I may its not growing very well.

I can remember having similar problems around 8 years ago when my dad brought
home his portable PC-XT from work. I remember thinking what a stupid machine
it was, as you had to LOAD basic! I mean you don't have to do that with my
C-64 so why does this stupid PC thing make you do it? And then this pascal
crap came along! How can you possibly write a program without line
numbers?! Sheesh...

Anyway I digress. The point is I eventually learnt how to work the damn
thing, and I'm hoping the same will happen with unix.

Sorry to ramble, I look foreward to the responses.

Cheers!
