Alister, do you have reason to believe that it was one of the recipients
of this mailing list, or is it a matter of you suspecting this to be the
case?

I must admit that my initial reaction to Alister's signature was to tense up
and cringe, however I fully concur that deleting someone's files is an
absolutely pathetic act. If there was any action to be taken at all, it
should have been perhaps to send some polite email explaining the concept of
the four line signature :-)

And if somehow whoever did it is possibly rationalising that their action
is in some way acceptable by virtue of the fact that the directory in
question happened to be writable, I might point out that taking something
from someone's car or house without their permission is still theft now
matter how wide open the doors or windows may be.

On this point everyone can relax, I've emailed Alister a copy of his
signature AND dragon.

Rightly so...

Is there something like an acceptable usage document that users must
agree to upon registration of an account on ftoomsh? Is there something
in it that covers this sort of thing? To those who know, please excuse
the possible lameness of this query, I just thought I'd better ask :-)
