Meeting opened 6:05pm
12 present, including Dennis, Andrew, Piers and Paul
Covered:
Current Status of TFM chapters
The (re)establishment of TFL - The Fucking List, where articles can be
posted for proof-reading and submission.
4 people volunteered as proof-readers: Justin, Chris, Dennis and Ern.
The attempt to get TFM out by or before orientation - it takes a week
to go through the printers, which leaves us with a deadline of about
7th January
Can the union do some free printing for us? Andrew will look into that
The addition of a Copyrighting/Patents for programs section - most
probably to be written by Chris
The modem/ppp chapter will be written by Steve, with help on Linux PPP
by Anand
Delay the decision of a WWW conversion of TFM until after we get the
paper version out this year
Andrew will attempt to, uh, obtain a stall on orientation day, even
though we're past the deadline.
Possibilities of a FVWM chapter, to replace the outdated TWM one (Matt
Estella?)
The possiblity of a chapter on writing your own doom wads (doom seems
to be becoming an official progsoc pasttime)
Meeting closed 7.15pm
