pico editor question

G'Day all...

I've been using this pico editor for a while and have found it quite handy
(I could say dos-like, but lets not enter that debate!). However one
thing that annoys me a bit, is that when I wrap over lines, it appears to
place a newline at the end of the line. Thus when you save it, the long
line you typed and was wrapped becomes two smaller lines. this is
especially annoying when viewing and editing c code, as I have no means to
place a /* comment */ at the end of a long line of code (something that I
like to do).

Like a good unix goose, I have RTFM and even read TFM! I found no manual
entry for pico on our work computers and cannot currently telnet to
ftoomsh to see if there is a manual entry there.

If someone knowa a way to disable this feature, can they please let me know.

Thanks heaps.

P.S. please do not tell me to use vi, as vi and me really don't get on
that well together.

Josh.
