up-front about it?

back-propagation network, Morgan Kaufman 1990.

When you can't understand what's going on here refer to Rumelhart, D.,
et al., Parallel Distributed Processing, Bradford 1987.  There's also
a relevant example in in Mitchell, Machine Learning, McGraw-Hill 1997.
