I'm going to argue this point in favour of Miles and converting it all to the Wiki. I
agree that a well-written piece of documentation is useful - but part of that is
purely the asthetic 'niceness' of having something clean, white and printed in your
hands.

In particular, you don't address *how* the Wikifying of TFM chapters
will make them easier to maintain.

I'm sorry I wasn't clear - the actual 'maintenance' will still be the same from online edition to Wiki, being an actual technical process. The real challenge here is not that, but actually getting people involved, and getting them to contribute. My point is - anything that makes it easier for people to contribute is a good thing.

I must admit, I'm also disappointed that in your eyes the version of TFM that several Exec members (including myself) spent a lot of time modernising a couple of years ago counts as "a flop".

I'm not referring your effort mate - that was a tremendous success! I'm was talking about this one:
http://www.progsoc.uts.edu.au/lists/progsoc-announce/2001/March/msg00000.html
and the fact that from 1997-2003 there weren't a whole load of TFM updates. (I was at UTS from 1997-2001 => I'm relatively old)
