A fair number of the newer STA buses have an LCD TV news feed of sorts
that you can watch whilst sitting in the bus. They use a local
shortrange FM transmitter to broadcast the audio to listening
passengers.

I've occasionally found that the short range FM transmitters like they
use on buses, or other audio devices (iTrip is one I use with my iPod)
are a little sloppy when it comes to transmitting only on their
specified frequency. From memory, most of the buses that are fitted
with this LCD TV / FM audio setup broadcast around the mid to late
90khz range (I've seen from 97.0-101.9. As such if you listen to
something around that range, such as Nova 96.9, you may end up getting
interference.
