Nah... I'm at liberty to tell people that I'm a ProgSoc member; I'm at liberty to start programming projects; and I'm at liberty to use ProgSoc's facilities for programming activities, particularly such activities that promote *nix and open source software. I have standing orders for that, it's what we do [1].
