[ProgSoc] Advice on registering domain and web hosting

1) register domain with enom.com2) setup google apps (www.google.com/a) for
email and whatever else you want
3) find cheap hosting and config DNS to suit. enom's plans appear to be
alright costwise. have a looksee.


I use www.netregistry.com.au for domain reg and management (costs 39.90/yr).
(only because i needed to be invoiced by an Aus. company), however I prefer
enom's DNS management interface.I use google apps (www.google.com/a) for
email, calendar, etc and netregistry for web (but it's out of your specified
budget) as I don't like google sites much. (although for my brigade's site
www.killcarerfs.com it's good for a wysiwyg interface for the non-techs to
admin the site)


Google Apps is easy enough to set up too if you don't have reservations over
their potential evil.
