Once upon a time, Robert J Sequeira was heard to say:

}
}
} This time it might be worth advertising the competition to other
} schools as well ie Engineering, Business etc ... as they do some
} computing subjects with varying depth and might want to take part in
} it just for the heck of it. No doubt business/Engineering/etc will
} have less experience/knowledge but in some cases they might do pretty
} good.

Good idea. There seem to be a non-zero number of elec-eng types who
are more than competent programmers/problem solvers.

} Also, advertising in different places (ie anyplace other than building
} four) would probably attract some more attention, assuming that we
} dont restrict the competition to progsoc people ... do we want to
} restrict the competition to progsoc??

I see no reason to, unless we try to use this as another means of drumming
up members. To my mind, though, that's a bit of a con.
