DOOM, etc.

Two things...

First, an end-of-year progsoc DOOM tournament has been mooted. Things
that need to be worked out are: time and date(s) (when is the end of
exams?), number of participants, and then hardware. It's anticipated
that players will use the forthcoming socs.wad, which brings us to...

..socs.wad, an "unofficial" project of some progsoc members, which is
currently under development. Chris Holland is the one working on its design/
implementation, I'm working on the graphics, and several other people
have been playtesting it. (^_^) The arena for level one is b4 l4, with
lifts/stairs to the revolting basketball/courtyard/barbeque (heh) area
outside. The planned arena for level two is the broadway tunnel.

When complete, the whole thing should obviously be left on ftoomsh
so that people all over the world can enjoy the splendour of U.T.S.
architecture.

If you have any ideas for socs.wad, might as well post them to progsoc
until somebody complains.
