[ProgSoc] Free Wine! (in fact: Bar Association Mock Trial (fwd))



This is quite edutaining.  You get to be a witness in the Supreme Court,
see how the system works, and work on your case with a real barrister.

Hello Everyone,

The next mock trial is scheduled for Saturday 11 September.

As you may recall, lay witnesses will be provided with their report,
statements and some additional material by the Bar Association.

Volunteers will need to be available on Monday 6 September 2004, 4:30 -
6:00pm for a conference with their legal team and on Saturday 11 September
2004, 10:00am - 1.00pm for the mock trial itself - NSW Supreme Court,
Queens Square

Morning tea and lunch is provided on Saturday 11 September at Buena Vista
Caf� on Level 14 of the Law Courts Building, Queens Square. After you have
completed your role in the mock trial you are welcome to stay and sit in
court to see the final outcome. The mock trial commences at 10:00am and
should conclude at about 4:00pm. Witnesses will also receive a bottle of
wine from the Bar Association to thank them for participating.
