Re: [ProgSoc] Getting Gnome to open links

not certain, but open gconf-editor - this is just like regedit, but
for gnome! (pft - and they said KDE was trying too hard to be like
windows :) Try desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http etc.

desktop/gnome/url-handlers/http is configured with:

 command: gnome-www-browser %s
 enabled: true
 needs terminal: false

When I run:

 $ gnome-www-browser "http://www.jj5.net/";

Then Epiphany opens the URL. However, clicking on links in my mail client or in the Gnome panel has no effect. I.e. nothing happens.

Or try the debian irc channel on freenode.

Ah, good idea. I'll do that if I don't have any luck with dpkg-reconfigure. Thanks.
