RE: [ProgSoc] Drying up, hands or money

I do sometimes enjoy graffiti, but it seems that graffiti is usually
correlated with mess (given that thorough cleaning staff typically remove
graffiti). I'd prefer a clean and graffiti-less toilet rather than a
dirtied, graffitied toilet.

Weren't you just saying before that you want to be left alone in the
toilets? But, now you want to impose your message in the toilets owned by
the university without paying any money?

And why can't groups of people who band together in a company also be
regarded as friends who you don't know?

I just want to repeat my original comment: this is only a hand dryer we're
talking about! Gah!

Oh, don't worry. *I am*. :)

Well, nothing. So long as they recognise what's going on. Like I said
already: t'sall good [1]. :)

To bring this full circle... who cares if I vandalise the advertisements
in public toilets? That's *my space*, and I'm reclaiming it, for *my
message*! ;)

I'm actually quite partial to the aesthetic of vandalised^Wgraffitied
public toilets. I think they're *spectacular* contemporary art works.
They're kitsch, tacky, ignorant, amateur, juvenile, and... *human*! I
love taking a piss up at Kings internet cafe in Epping, for instance. It
reminds me that there are still free spirits in the world.

When I was in highschool I got a heap of spray paint and graffitied my
bedroom (I had to put cardboard over the walls first, because my family
was renting), and at the next house I put paper over the windows and
gave my friends a few big fat (oh, I'm sorry... *phat*) textas and each
of them got an A4 square to leave me a message. They drew awesome
pictures, wrote moving messages, left their 'tags', etc. The upshot was
that I had a collage of about twenty personal messages from my friends
that I got to see every day.

I feel the same way about graffiti in public toilets. I'm just looking
at the messages that my *friends* left me... even if I don't know who
they are.

You can complain, if you like... but I'll just tell you to chill out and
enjoy the ride. ;)
