GPLv3? No. GPLv2 (which Sun is already adopting elsewhere), certainly.

Note that the issue is _far_ bigger than the Linux kernel, it just
happens to be the most visible example. GPLv3 may be a worthwhile
default choice a decade from now, but not any time soon.
