How about a trip to the Japan Film Festival?

I think the following movies would be
interesting. And the first 2 are sequential, so
you could see both of them.

Mysterious black orb that raise the dead, so they
can fight against aliens? Or a live action
version of a classic '80s scifi cartoon?

GANTZ is a mysterious black orb that summons the
semi-deceased with a mission to hunt down aliens.
In this game-like realm, there is a time limit
and you are scored on your efforts. Once you
reach 100 points, you have the option to be freed
from GANTZ or revive someone already dead. Access
to high-tech suits with superhuman abilities and
weaponry is available for each assignment. Game
on.

Iskandar telling of a device that can remove
radiation from the Earth's surface. In
preparation to defend the earth, The United
Nations of Space Administration rebuilds the
battleship Yamato with a new type of propulsion
system, enabling it to make the long trip to
Iskandar and back. With limited time, Kodai must
pilot the advanced Space Battleship Yamato and
save the world from extinction. Based on the
world famous 1980's anime series, starring Takuya
